| When the strange and somewhat intriguing rarity of an update on my
xanga comes around, its a big deal; at least to me. Look at that: I
changed the music, the picture, and once again changed the theme just
for one update. Woo-hoo, now I expect some eprops.
First on the plate: Halloween! The fun of this holiday does not deflate
even after you turn 12. Of course, some people are still getting their
fun of the holiday by trick or treating at 20, but they're just big
kids. I took the fun job of sitting on our front bench as the grim
reaper, scaring the heck of people. It was fun, except that there were
a lot of little kids...and I just felt bad scaring them. So I took my
mask off when they came. But I still did terrorize the older
ones...including the one who thought I was Michael Jackson?
Spring Registration is starting. So far it looks like I'll be taking
American History II, critical thinking, A&P II, liberal arts math,
online weightlifting, and piano. The online weightlifting may sound
like a joke, but its actually a real conveinence. Basically, you get to
choose when you want to work out instead of going to a class. Hopefully
ya'll can attend my graduation next May!
Running's going okay. I haven't had great times, but I'm still having
that lingering calf soreness. I did finish 7th overall up in Tours at
their Halloween run....in fact without even realizing it I helped the
son of my A&P teacher, who told me that he appreciated the
"helpfulness" of the younger guy w/ sunglasses. Haha, my running
glasses are pimp.
If you are a legal citizen and are age 18 or older....VOTE this
Tuesday. No excuses; no exceptions. It's a free right at your disposal
that people died to secure. 10 minutes out of your day to show your
position as a free citizen of the US is not going to kill you.

| Wow its been awhile since I updated.
So I pissed everyone off in A&P by getting a perfect score plus a
bonus on our lab exam last week. It was over the bones; we had to learn
every single one along with its main features. If that sounds
semi-hard, it's not when you consider that this week we have to study
muscles.
This weekend MCC was host to a student government conference. It was
somewhat fun, considering Friday night we lost to Hill at volleyball
and smashed a glass panel out with a football (oh and driving with the
putters was fun too). Oh yeah, I'm an under-developed 20 year old btw.
Nothing is more fustrating than the process of transferring to a
University. First off, the low amount of scholarships available to
transfer students is iritating. Why is that brand new fishies get all
the recognition, yet those that have already proven themselves capable
of college coursework elsewhere are thrown aside? I've only had 4
colleges show any real interest so far, and the fall semester is slowly
slipping away.
One thing's for sure: Too much crap has been occuring in Waco. And I
can truthfully say, I would be glad to be accepted into a college
elsewhere.
Until a later date, enjoy life and don't die, please. Thanks. Oh yeah, go Astros!

| As strange as it is, the woman involved in that accident is alive. She was pronounced dead at the scene, but she is now in the IC at Hillcrest. Apparently she's in terrible shape (no shock); she broke every cranial bone and had air pockets in her head. When the doctors worked on removing those, they ruptured a major artery. I highly doubt she will ever be the same person she was.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning I was in Houston/Clearlake for a Phi Theta Kappa leadership forum. It focused on seven books about leadership, all of which sounded interesting and not like the usual gung-ho leader books. I also got to meet several college advisors. The schools that seemed most interested in me were SMU and Houston. I would LOVE to go to Houston...that's one of my favorite schools.
Then we had to drive back to Waco ASAP for Relay for Life, which truthfully was a bore. In past years it's been much more entertaining and fun, but this year it seemed boring and without respect. Mainly I'm just glad it's over...the damn thing caused me way too much stress. I don't need that kind of stress from a fundraising event when school already drains me each and every week.
Well I'm gonna go to bed since I woke up at 5:45am Saturday and have only had about 2 hours of sleep since then. Have a great week! | | |
